This is the MDA/CGA card that came with Laser XT/3 PC's in the late 80'ies. Back in the day you had the option to choose the standard MDA/CGA card or to upgrade to an EGA card.
This card is switchable between MDA/CGA via the DIP-switch on the back. You can hook up an RGB or TTL-MDA display to the 9-pin connector or connect a monitor to the composite outputs (one is color, one is monochrome).
The jumper on the card (JP2) enables/disables the BIOS on the card. If you want to use both an EGA and this MDA/CGA card you can use the EGA as main display output and 'silence' the MDA/CGA card by disabling the BIOS (but still being able to access it's memory addresses).
I'm not sure what the official name of this card is. I've dubbed it F804 but it might as well be VTCL-27-073900 or vTech 35-2302-04. I don't think this card was a retail product so it might never had a fancy name. Poor thing! > Read more
